Become dementia aware

Dementia has, and will continue to have, a huge impact on people living with the condition, their carers, families and society. In Dorset, it is estimated that there are over 13,000 people living with dementia, with around 550 of those between 30-64 years old.

It is therefore really important to understand dementia and how to support people living with it so they can continue living well within their communities.

In these videos, Julie Hammon, Project Co-ordinator for the Stepping into Nature project explains how to become dementia aware and how to run nature based activities that are suitable for people living with dementia.
