A series of free, site specific playful art sessions for children aged 2-4yrs old and their parents / carers.
Lead by Jo Burlington (OOPS WOW MESSY ART) who has been running art workshops for children for the last 5 years.
Booking essential.
Through these messy play sessions the unique character of the beach will be explored in a fun and creative way!
Children might make a collage they can wear on their backs and play at being a decorator crab hiding from predators.
Or they might make paint from the clay that oozes directly onto Hive Beach, or from the sandstone cliffs at West Bay, or make cyanotype prints of various seaweeds that grow in the intertidal zone at Charmouth or make land art with the sticks that gather near the river there.

Ideally families will book on for one session at each of the beaches but this is not essential.
These sessions are FREE as they are supported by the Dorset AONB Sustainable Development Fund

Please book for each child between 2-4yrs old.
If you have a younger child, you are welcome to bring them along but please be aware that some of the activities may not be suitable for them.
