Celebrating the great tastes of Dorset
From windswept coastlines to rolling farmland, Dorset’s landscapes don’t just inspire – they feed us. Dorset Food & Drink proudly champions the producers, makers, and hospitality businesses who turn Dorset’s seasonal bounty into unforgettable experiences – from field to fork and coast to kitchen.
Rooted in 8000 years of farming and fishing heritage, Dorset’s food culture is shaped by its land and sea. Whether it’s fresh-from-the-boat seafood, pasture-raised meats, orchard fruits, or hand-crafted preserves, eating in season here means eating with purpose and pleasure.
Originally founded by the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (now Dorset National Landscape) in 2011, Dorset Food & Drink is an independent community interest company connecting over 100 local businesses who grow, make, serve, and celebrate the county’s bounty. From farm shops to food festivals, every bite tells a story of place, care, and creativity.
They support the sector through events, outreach, helping residents and visitors alike discover the delicious diversity of Dorset’s larder. It’s not just about what’s on the plate, but where it comes from and who made it.
