Char Valley residents are invited to join us to creatively “map” the parish, as part of the Beyond the Map project.
We want to find out more about what you love about where you live. Bring your stories, ideas, anything you’d like to print (like leaves, feathers, fabric) and come and find out more.
There’ll be tea, cake, a printing press you can make your own prints to keep (all ages and abilities welcome).

Beyond the Map is one of several projects celebrating 60 years of the Dorset Area Outstanding Natural Beauty, capturing what people know and love about their local landscape. It is inspired by Common Ground, the Dorset charity founded in 1983 to seek imaginative ways to engage people with their local environment.
