About the event

Walking through meadows embroidered with iconic wildflowers, let Nick Gray (Dorset Wildlife Trusts’ meadow enthusiast) take you on a tour of the Kingcombe reserve and recount the myths and magic behind the herbs and grasses there. The patchwork landscape at Kingcombe is a result of sympathetic farming over many generations and our tales will weave in modern views of the countryside and hopes for the future.

This event is part of our Landscape for Life Festival, celebrating 60 years of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We’ve asked some very special people who live and work in this rich and vibrant landscape to share the places they love with you. Join artists, story-tellers, wildlife experts, geologists, farmers, archaeologists to uncover what makes the landscape so outstanding… and find your own place to love along the way.
