Dorset based organisations/groups are coming together, led by Dorset National Landscape, to help more people access nature and heritage for physical and mental benefits. For many, having company when trying to enjoy nature and heritage in local settings can help overcome the barriers they may face such as anxiety or low confidence, lack of knowledge or safety concerns.
Our ambition is to build a network of trained volunteer Nature Buddies, which are embedded in local organisations and groups, who can be matched to people in need of support.
This webinar is aimed at community groups, health, environment or heritage organisations wanting to help people connect to nature and heritage for wellbeing.
We will be introducing the Nature Buddies Network, exploring how it will run and how you can be part of it. It will be a great opportunity to meet the team and ask any questions you may have.
