Wilder grazing unit: February 2021 update

The project is off to a great start and the initial project milestones are on track.

The project remains on schedule to deliver within planned scope, budget and timescales.

Key milestones reached in February included:

  • Dorset Council Highways engaged to install and maintain the planned highways infrastructure (cattle grids, passing places)
  • appointment of a full time Stage 2 (implementation) Project Manager, reporting to the Partnership Steering Group overseeing all aspects of the project
  • significant clearance of intrusive unwanted vegetation, ready for the installation of planned reserves infrastructure (fences, ditches, banking)
  • initial development of relevant legal protocols and frameworks, ensuring appropriate land dedication, partnership working arrangements, etc, are robust
