Project Description

The Mycorrhizal Fungi Research Project: the objective is to learn how to increase carbon sequestration. We aim to run the carbon sequestration trial for 5 years. Conducting research to test the hypothesis that increasing mycorrhizae fungi in the soil, is a potential mechanism for increasing the carbon sequestered in soil. This project has expanded since last year’s application. Hannah has invested in further education so she can develop her knowledge and career within soil health within agriculture. Nature Walks: The objective is to educate people on the environment and the landscape. This will be achieved by giving the public and holidaymakers free and open access to a wildlife walk. Whereby a farm map and species checklists can be collected from our small shop. This project has also expanded since last year, whereby we have built more habitats for nature and we will use the maps to collect data on the nature found on the farm – via a citizen science section on the printed map.
