About

This event will showcase what Nature Buddies has achieved so far, highlighting the positive impact of connecting people to nature for wellbeing through supportive, community led approaches. It will provide the opportunity to share learning and explore how the scheme can continue to grow and develop in the future.

The Conference will include short talks, an interactive workshop and taster activity sessions – offering practical insight into how Nature Buddies works. Attendees will have the chance to meet some of our current Nature Buddy volunteers and host organisations, hear real life experiences and learn how nature based activities can support wellbeing.

Who should attend?

This event is for:

• Healthcare professionals and social prescribers wanting to learn more about the scheme, the health and wellbeing benefits of nature and the referral process
• Existing Nature Buddies host organisations looking to share experiences and help shape our future plans
• Nature and heritage based organisations and community groups keen to set up their own Nature Buddy schemes
• Volunteers (current or prospective) interested in supporting others to get out into nature

Whether you are already part of the Nature Buddies Network or new to it, this event is an opportunity to find out more, connect with others and get involved.

We are proud to be holding this event on Age Without Limits Day, an annual event to take action – big or small – to create a future where everyone can age without limits.
