Your Seasons of Stories Project - opportunity for a filmmaker

We are looking for a filmmaker to be part of our Your Seasons of Stories project starting from October 2021. Closing date for applications is 1pm Wednesday 15th  September 2021.

Background

The Stepping into Nature project, led by the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has been awarded support using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England for a new social engagement project called Your Seasons of Stories.

Your Season of Stories will gather seasonal memories, traditions and stories from people living in Dorset, living with a long term health condition or are in a caring role to co-design a ‘creative resource’ which will help spark connection to nature and others for improved wellbeing. The seasonal material will be gathered through interactive sessions using professional poets, storytellers and artists. Once the resources are created they will be widely shared, along with short inspirational films about how to create your own seasonal material, to encourage and inspire individuals, pairs or groups to create their own seasonal stories.

Stepping into Nature is seeking an individual or organisation to film and edit five short artist led ‘how to’ videos and an evaluation video of the project to capture the story and impact of the project.

The project team consists of 4 artists and 2 Stepping into Nature project staff.
