What to wear when visiting the countryside:

You don’t need to buy fancy kit to visit the countryside but here are some suggestions for things that will help you feel more comfortable:

  • Footwear with grips and covered toes if walking on rough ground and if ticks may be about.
  • Loose or stretchy clothes with layers for warmth and cool – plan for changeable weather. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting mucky.
  • Long socks or leggings in case the walk or activity passes through scratchy grass or if ticks are about.
  • Scarf or headband to protect the ears/neck if the wind picks up
