Dorset Race Equality Council

Dorset Race Equality Council promotes strong, safe and inclusive communities where diversity is valued and everyone has equal opportunities. They support people and organisations to challenge racism, celebrate cultural and religious diversity, empower ethnic minority communities, and ensure local services are representative, fair and accessible to all.

Community Action Network is a charity that works to serve and champion Dorset’s voluntary and community sector. They can provide all sorts of advice and support for community groups including:

  • Supporting ethnically diverse communities: building capacity for groups from ethnically diverse backgrounds in Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch
  • Setting up your group: advice on getting finance, health & safety and business planning
  • Fundraising: Help navigating local and national funding sources and advice on writing strong funding bids
  • Networking: Connecting groups with potential funders or collaborators
  • Training and resources: Workshops or toolkits to build fundraising skills
