Join the Marshwood Vale Farmers Cluster, the Cooper-Dean Estates Knowle Farm and the Melplash Agricultural Society for a day of fun on the farm at Francis Bugler Ltd in Beaminster.
There will be tractor trailer rides, animals, farm machinery and lots of displays and demonstrations showing the diversity of life in the countryside and where our food comes from.
Tractor and trailer ride around a 1.5 mile circuit with key stopping points
Guided tour of the Corn Dryer including a grains display with ultimate food products
Lots of Agricultural Machines to investigate
Discover Farming’ where children get hands-on experience of different farming activities
Interactive displays from Dorset organisations and groups such as Wessex Water, Synergy Vets and the Dorset Butterfly Group
Arable farming – wheat and grass growing and special emphasis on soil health
Working dairy farm to see how cows live and are tended
Livestock area with sheep, pigs, chickens and goats
Rural skills area to include Beekeeping
