Variety really is the spice of life in Dorset! With a collection of some of the most varied landscapes in the country comes a fantastic array of very distinctive local food and drink too. We teamed up with Dorset Food & Drink and the Food is GREAT Campaign to highlight the great tastes of Dorset to explore on your bike.

With more than 8000 years of farming and fishing heritage in this diverse and beautiful county it’s no wonder we have such a variety of amazing food & drink on offer. As you pedal your way round the countryside it’s easy to see where our most delicious cheeses, ice cream, meat and fresh veg come from. But look a little deeper and you will see that our landscape is also home to a great many artisans too, producing everything from bread to beer, chutney to cider, chocolate to coffee.

On each route you’ll find all the ingredients you’ll need for a great day out. Each has a selection of cafes, farm shops and producers to try out, together with things you can see and do along the way (but do check before you set out if you are relying on one for a pit stop, as some of the highlighted businesses may have changed since publication).
