Volunteers wanted to test West Dorset Bus Stop Walks

The West Dorset Bus Stop walks offer a greener, healthier way to enjoy Dorset’s landscapes, using public transport to connect people with nature.

We are looking for volunteers to help test these walks to make sure the directions and the route are still good.

Several years ago the Dorset National Landscape pulled together a series of short walks to enjoy exploring the Jurassic Coast in West Dorset. The West Dorset Bus Stop Walks all start and finish at bus stops along the Jurassic Coast bus route in West Dorset. Leaving the car behind and taking the bus means you can relax and enjoy the stunning views across coast and countryside from the top deck as you travel.

We are looking for volunteers to help us test these walks before we refresh the design and relaunch them. Whether you prefer a peaceful solo stroll or walking with friends – your feedback will help us make these routes easy to navigate, enjoyable and inspiring for everyone.

What’s involved?

  • Try out one of our short West Dorset Bus Stop Walk routes
  • Walk alone, with a friend, or as part of a small group
  • Share your feedback via our simple feedback form to note any tips, tweaks or observations along the way
  • We can cover local travel expenses but you must sign up first

Help us shape walks that make it easier for more people to get out and about, explore Dorset and support greener travel.

Keen to get involved?

Choose a route you’d like to try – you can see all the walks on the West Dorset Bus Stop Walks page.
