Organisation based Nature Buddies
Nature Buddies are friendly volunteers based within nature-focused groups across Dorset, such as walking groups, gardening clubs, conservation projects and environmental charities.
How do they help?
They work alongside participants for an agreed number of sessions to facilitate regular involvement in the group activity, helping them to build their confidence in natural settings. Support is tailored to each person’s interests and comfort level, with the ultimate aim of empowering the participants to continue engaging in these activities independently over time.
Whether it’s joining a community garden, taking part in a local conservation effort, or simply enjoying time outdoors, Nature Buddies help people connect with nature, feel part of something meaningful and improve their wellbeing.
Make a referral
Please make sure you have read our Referral Criteria and Guidelines to ensure your referral is suitable for the service.
Then complete the Referral form and email it to the organisation offering Nature Buddies directly, using the contact details in their advert.
